Those are also good to check if you've been censored by google, or if better results are found elsewhere.
A new set of weeks has started 16/6 so please bring $60 to get the best deal. Unfortunately there weren't enough people for the last set so instead of asking for more money we're running for fewer than 10 weeks. Use it or lose it! It's still the best deal around.
A new set of 10 weeks starts today so if you're joining for the whole set please bring $60. Because the last set ran at a loss this set may only by 9 or 8 weeks long, depending on how many people join.
There are now some mugs in the kitchen, but you can still bring your own.
Robbie's next door is closing down and this is the last week we can have a drink there afterwards.
As usual, bring some mugs and we can have a cuppa during the break.
Several people have said they have difficulties making the 6 pm start because of traffic, so now we are starting at 6:30 pm and finish at 8:45 pm.
Our next drawing class is on Thu 11 Feb 2016 6 pm, followed by a meeting (no charge) at 7:30 pm to discuss how we want to move forward with the group. Please share your thoughts about what you'd like to see, and perhaps do.
The classes on 28 Jan and 4 Feb are cancelled because the organisers are not available on those dates, sorry. Those who paid for a full 10 weeks get the next drawing date free.
We are re-starting this Thursday on 14 January 2016.
Please bring pen and paper, a friend, and a mug for a cuppa during the break. Join us at Robbie's afterwards.
The drawing class this week is the last one for this year.
We are re-starting on 14 January 2016.
Have a good summer break, and see you all in the new year!
Thanks to all who helped make this a success so far! However a new set of 10 weeks is starting on 8 Oct and we all have to pay $60 again so we can keep drawing. Don't forget to bring your contribution—thanks muchly.
There is enough interest that we can continue drawing after the semester finishes. Let's have a Christmas/summer holidays break though. Thanks to all the artists who helped us break even, which allows us to keep going.
Last drawing this year: | 26 Nov 2015 |
Holidays break | |
Drawing re-starts: | 14 Jan 2016 |
Cost remains at $60 for 10 weeks, and $15 single evenings
The exact dates of when we finish this year and re-start next year are still open for discussion. Let us know your thoughts and check the news page and your email for updates.
Don't forget that we are starting again tomorrow!
After a term of no activity we are re-starting the life drawing group again with new organisers, a new name, and a new venue.
Our new name is Ilam Life Drawing, and we're meeting close to university. The
time is still Thursdays, 6–8.15 pm (or 18:00–20:15 for the Europeans
). Our first drawing evening is next week Thu 30 July 2015 at
6pm.
Cost is $60 for a whole semester (it doesn't really get cheaper than that!), or $15 single evenings.
See our new website http://lifedrawing.nz/ for a map and further details. Contact us if you have any questions.
Looking forward to seeing many of you again.
